At last, Dyan, Monte and the kids came to Sacramento for a visit. I haven't seen them in about a year ... you know your friendship will be true and long-lasting when they arrive and it instantly becomes like old times. The first night, Brian worked so we hung out at home. The kids played and played (we didn't see them for 6 hours) and adults enjoyed some brews and caught up. They will be moving to Nebraska in about 6 months so it may be awhile before we see them again. I really wish I'd gone to San Diego more often while they were living there. Life just gets busy, you know? Too busy. We're pretty good about still talking on the phone often, though. Dyan is like a sister to me. We're very alike too ... our friendship is just easy.
Margarita time at Chevy's on the river. Yumm.
Girls enjoyed a cup of hot cocoa in the morning.
They had so much fun playing video games next to each other. I just don't get that.
We went to the State Capitol - they never got around to going when they lived in Sacramento. It was a nice day so we fed (and chased) squirrels. Have to wear these kids out somehow. Aren't those some good-looking boys?
They looked and looked at all of the ornaments on the Christmas Tree.
Posing for pictures.
Kyla insisted that Dyan take a photo of her in front of this snowman. He was in the Capitol.
Boys ... being boys.
I wish Macy was in this one. Cute though.
Awe, my precious girl.
The Gang - I love this picture.
Our girls.
Dyan and I. Miss you already!
