Check Ups

Both of my kids have been incredibly healthy ... we're blessed (knock on wood).  Mason hasn't been to the doctor since May/08 and Kyla since Feb/09.  With that being said, we should have taken them in a long time ago for a check up.  So ... last week we took them both in.  My kids are strange, they love going to the doctor and were both excited about it all day.  Kyla even knew she was going to get her shots for Kindergarten and still wasn't worried.  We promised them shots afterwards and thats all she cared about.  Poor thing, she got 4 shots!  Brian said she did OK during them but immediately upon walking through the front door at home and seeing me, began to sob.  Poor sweet thing.

Both kids got eye exams.  M's vision was fine however Kyla may need glasses at some point.  She was 20/40 in one eye and 20/30 in the other.  We'll have them checked again next year.

Mason - 49 pounds - 48th percentile for weight
               46 7/8 inches tall - 44th percentile for height
               BMI - 15 - 43rd percentile of growth based
                   on stature-for-age

Kyla -    41 pounds - 67th percentile for weight
               43 3/4 inches tall - 85th percentile for height
               BMI - 15 - 84th percentile of growth based
                   on stature-for-age
