California State Railroad Museum

Brian was at work today and K went to daycare so M and I had a "date". We went to the California State Railroad Museum and let me tell you... he loved it. I actually really enjoyed it also. Brian has take the kids there before but I have never gone with them. It's so easy to go places like that with just one child. The downstairs has probably 20 real engines and you can go in and look at 5 or so. And the upstairs is completely kid friendly with model engines that he can turn on by pressing buttons and 2 huge Thomas the Train Tables. He LOVED it. I think he enjoyed the model engines more than the Thomas Tables. Then we went out to lunch at Joe's Crab Shack. We got to sit by the river and watched the tower bridge go up and down which really kept his interest. After lunch we got a Caramel Apple with nuts and went home to relax for a while. He is really something. The things he comes up with are amazing. Right now he is on this "that's ridiculous" thing. Other cute things he does is anytime something happens he'll say "do I have to say sorry" or let's say he bonks his head or something and I say "I'm sorry, honey". He'll say, "mom, you don't have to say your sorry for that, you didn't do anything". "When I tell you to say sorry, then say sorry". Cracks me up.

K is obsessed with pigs. She has 2 pigs that she insists travel everywhere with us and let me tell you, we better find the when she loses then. Talk about a drama queen. Off to bed for me.

Yeah, my new blog!

I've been thinking of starting a blog for some time now and I finally decided to go for it. I think it will be therapeutic for me to be able to sit down and reflect a little upon my day. A little about me. I'm a mother to 2 beautiful little ones. We'll call them M and K and wife to Brian. He's wonderful. We've been married for 5 years, together for 9. I work part-time as a Registered Nurse in a Emergency Department in Northern California. I've been in the Emergency Department in one role or another for the last 15 years. Gosh, I can't believe that. I'm old! Well, that's all for now. I'm going to practice uploading a picture. We went to the snow last week and here are a few pictures from that. As you can see, M loved it and K hated it.
