We've had such beautiful weather lately, the kids and I decided to go to the zoo for a little fun.

Zip Lining in Cabo

Brian and I went zip-lining in Cabo.  Neither of us had been (although we have been skydiving).  Some of you may be thinking ... not sure if it would be safe in Mexico but we felt totally prepared and comfortable.  It was a great time, not necessarily the adrenaline rush I thought it would be (not even close to skydiving) but definitely fun.  They took some nice pictures of us.

Didn't know I'd like the repelling so much.  I was more nervous about doing this because you have to get over that ledge and you have to look down to do that!  I was actually pretty good at it too.

Cabo San Lucas

Brian took me to Cabo San Lucas for a week long getaway at an All-Inclusive Resort called RIU.  Wow, did we have a good time.  We went for long walks on the beach, on a dinner cruise and zip-lining.  We also spent a lot of time relaxing and reading by the pool.  It's so nice to get away without the kids, makes you remember what you liked about each other in the first place.  :-)  I love staying at an all inclusive - you know exactly what you're going to spend before you leave home.  Drinks were plentiful and the food was delicious.  One drawback of going to Cabo San Lucas ... you can't swim in the ocean where the resorts are.  There is an under tow and it's not safe.  Big bummer, wouldn't necessarily want to go back there for that reason.

They also have the best guacamole.  One of my very favorite foods.

We went on the best dinner cruise aboard the Cabo Rey.  I can't say enough about this ... definitely a must when visiting Cabo.  The food was delicious (even better than any of the food at the resort), the band was a lot of fun and they had the best after dinner entertainment with singing and dancing.

Brian went on a day fishing trip.  Here's a nice picture with the fish.  Vacuum sealed and packed for our flight back to California.

That's going to be yummy.

Valentine's Day Prep

The kids have been busy-busy getting their Valentine's ready to go.  They put Fun-Dip and Play-Doh in little baggies to pass out to friends.

I think he had one, judging by his blue teeth! 

Crazy Clown

We were hanging out in the Fair Oaks Village one day and there was a crazy clown guy in there juggling.  Before we know it, Mason was up and trying to learn how.  He said the best way was to use bags filled with air so it's nice and slow.  This is just one of the many reasons we can't wait to move to Fair Oaks.  The Village area is lovely and such a great place to hang out and people watch or have a great cup of coffee.

He started to get the hang of it a little. 

After-school fun

Mason has a great group of boys that he hangs out with at Westlake.  When the weather is sunny, we like to hang out at the park across the street from the school for a little while after school gets out.

I'm pretty sure Mason is giving Spencer and bony elbow.  (He does it to me like crazy at home)  

Of course, Kyla had to get in there too.  She's a scrappy little thing.  Tough as nails.

Girly Stuff

Just hanging out at home this morning (which is lovely).  Kyla decided she wanted to paint her nails.  She actually did a pretty decent job and didn't make a mess or get it on the table at all.  It was too cute watching her.

Now it's time for some tea and crumpets.  In our house, it was goldfish crackers and hot cocoa.  I love all of this girly fun.
