Yellowstone - Part 3

Ok, whaddaya know.  More pictures of Yellowstone.  Here we go.

Such a sweet girl these days.  What's not to love?

Awe, a baby elk.  I love that you can find wildlife everywhere.  The kids didn't play on their devices or read while in the park because they were our best eyes and ears.  Must be because they are younger, huh?

Such a beautiful waterfall.

The kids have never seen a phone booth.  Brian told them he used to always check the change return slot and once found $6 whole dollars.  They were obsessed with checking them after that.  I love this photo.  So, I have to tell you, we took this photo near the Norris Geyser Campground, while we were headed to a ranger led program around a campfire.  Well, when we got there, Mason saw that the ranger had Bear Mace on his belt and asked him about it.  He told us that bears, (black and grizzly) were a real threat and he wouldn't set foot on any trail without it.  So ... of course ... the safety officer that Mason is, he wouldn't let it go and told Brian that he was not going hiking or fishing without it.  So ... what do you think Brian did the next morning?  Yep, bought a can of $50 bear mace.  By the way, $33 on Amazon.  Luckily we didn't have to use it but was nice to have.  I'll have it to take down to the river by our house, there has been an occasional mountain lion sighting there.

Old Faithful.  You have to stay at the Old Faithful Inn once in your life.  We stayed there on our last night and let me tell you ... it was awesome.  Such a cool place.  They have a huge deck (with a bar) that faces the geyser and Old Faithful typically goes off every 90 minutes.  So, on our last night we hung out on the deck and played games and cards and watched the geyser go off ... it was a-mazing.

Awe, so cute.

Such beauty.

My boy ... he's looking so grown up lately.  :-(

Just love this one.  This is pretty much how it is ... she can't get enough of Mason.  When he's away, she constantly says how much she misses him.  I love that.

One of the few places you can swim in Yellowstone.  We loved floating down the river.  Yay.
