We decided to go camping in Pismo Beach over spring break. We wanted to camp somewhere we've never been before and because we wanted to be in Coalinga for Easter, it was the perfect spot. We had a great time ... Mason found boys to play baseball with, the kids rode bikes all around the campground and Brian and I were able to rest a little. We also went tide pooling ... something we all enjoy and such a great place for it.
We didn't have any rain but let me tell you ... it was chilly. Brrr. Definitely not like the beachy vacation I was looking for.
We went to the San Simeon Beach to see the Elephant Seals. Such a cool thing, not to be missed. You can get so close to them also, we really were this close. Here's the link so you can see when they'll be there. So cute, I wanted to go over and cuddle them but I'm sure they'd chew my face off, LOL.
Cuties. Why can't they get along this well at home?
There's a beautiful lighthouse ... should have zoomed in.
Hearst Castle. I remember going during my 5th grade camp and summer camp. I knew the kids would like it and they sure did. Best part of the visit ... Kyla says, "It's a lot like the Olive Garden but fancier." Such a riot, that girl.
The Roman Pool.
Our day at the beach. SO COLD. Kyla insisted on being in her swimsuit even though it was 59 degrees outside. They especially loved the swings.
Jumping off into the sand. Looked so fun, I'm sure I would have broken something though.
Awe, he's so handsome.
Not a lot of shells.
She goes completely in the water ... 59 degrees. Such a tough girl.
