Valentine's Day Prep

The kids have been busy-busy getting their Valentine's ready to go.  They put Fun-Dip and Play-Doh in little baggies to pass out to friends.

I think he had one, judging by his blue teeth! 

Crazy Clown

We were hanging out in the Fair Oaks Village one day and there was a crazy clown guy in there juggling.  Before we know it, Mason was up and trying to learn how.  He said the best way was to use bags filled with air so it's nice and slow.  This is just one of the many reasons we can't wait to move to Fair Oaks.  The Village area is lovely and such a great place to hang out and people watch or have a great cup of coffee.

He started to get the hang of it a little. 

After-school fun

Mason has a great group of boys that he hangs out with at Westlake.  When the weather is sunny, we like to hang out at the park across the street from the school for a little while after school gets out.

I'm pretty sure Mason is giving Spencer and bony elbow.  (He does it to me like crazy at home)  

Of course, Kyla had to get in there too.  She's a scrappy little thing.  Tough as nails.

Girly Stuff

Just hanging out at home this morning (which is lovely).  Kyla decided she wanted to paint her nails.  She actually did a pretty decent job and didn't make a mess or get it on the table at all.  It was too cute watching her.

Now it's time for some tea and crumpets.  In our house, it was goldfish crackers and hot cocoa.  I love all of this girly fun.

Lego Creations

Mason has been obsessively playing with his Lego's lately.  Here's a look at one of his creations.

Making apple pie with Grammy

We love it when Grammy comes to town.  She always makes the yummiest food.  The kids helped her make an apple pie today and boy did it turn out yummy.  I have to say, they looked so cute in the aprons she gave them for Christmas.

Chinese New Year

Yesterday was the Chinese New Year.  This year will be the year of the Dragon.  It made me curious as to what the Zodiac Signs were during the kids birth years.

This is what the stars say about Mason's personality.

2004 - Year of the Monkey

The eternal optimists, dogs always see the best in themselves and others and have a naturally happy disposition.  Their enthusiasm is infectious and can inspire others to look towards them for leadership.  While they value loyalty and are trusting of others, they are easily jealous and unforgiving after disagreements and arguments.  An innate stubbornness also means they will rarely admit when they are wrong.
