Random March Photos

March was a very busy month.  When we weren't running around crazy with 2 baseball/softball practices per week (per kid), they had baseball and softball games.  I love baseball season but it can keep you running for sure.  The kids had several birthday parties to attend.  Mason had 3 in one weekend!  That can get quite costly.  Kyla went to her first real sleepover at a friends house.  It was Sammie's birthday.  She's slept over at Cole's house a few times but we were right across the street.  She was so excited .... they stayed up ALL NIGHT!  Man was she wiped out the next day.

Mason, at a birthday party at the local ice skating rink.  He never let go of the buckets (I wouldn't have either, ice skating is scary).

Kyla hanging out on my computer playing of the Reflex Math site.  Such a good learning site for kiddos.

Kyla is finally the Ultimate Loser of Sorry.  Here she is with her L sign (not thrilled about it).

Artwork on her easel.  So cute.

Puzzle time.

We love drawing together.

I love watching the helicopters land at work .... when I'm not scheduled as the Trauma Nurse of course.  Hehe.  Never gets old.

Gangsta Mason

Mason rough-housing with Trixie.

I absolutely love seeing deer in our neighborhood.  The other night on our way home from practice, we saw 6 deer.

The best photo-bomb ever.  Kyla loves to play office with my old computer.

Rainbow loom bracelets.

Love this face, and her freckles.

A walk to Sailor's Bar

Mike and Carol were in town so we took a little walk down to Sailor's Bar with Trixie.  I'd say it's about 3/4 of a mile to get there, maybe a little more.  It was a chilly day but Kyla insisted on wearing her swimsuit and taking a dip in the river .... brrr.  I'm not sure what the temperature of the water is, I wouldn't even stick my toe in it!  She gets in and then says (as she's shivering), "You get used to it."  Crazy girl.  Tough as nails.

Our backyard is so beautiful.

A great picture of Kyla and Grammy.

Mason, he's growing up right before my eyes!!  Look at my sweet kid.  Not feeling like taking pictures.

The California Poppy's are enjoying some sunshine.

Hanging out together.

Mason and his best buddy.  They have such a connection.

Painted - Folsom

We went to Painted in Folsom to celebrate Brenda's birthday.  You basically hang out with your friends, drink wine (or beer or whatever) and paint.  I was intimidated at first, didn't think there was any way that my painting would turn out as nicely as the example.  Well, she gives you step-by-step instructions and before you know it, it really starts to come together.  I had so much fun, I love crafty things anyway.  We laughed and talked and came home with a cool painting.  I CAN'T WAIT to go back again.

Here's the example.

Just getting started.

My masterpiece.  :-)

The example just had a couple sitting underneath the tree, I decided to put the whole family in it.

The girls.

Can't believe how good they all turned out.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We all went to Hampton's in Folsom on St. Patrick's Day.  They have the best burgers ever.  I had a green beer - basically just to gross Brian out.  He has a thing about food coloring.

Build A Bear

Mason had a birthday party to go to so Kyla and I got to spend some quality time together.  She loves Build A Bear and it was very close so that's where we went.  We have plenty of bears and doggies so this time she chose a monkey.  I must say, he's pretty cute and soft.

Waiting to get stuffed.

Was qualities does your animal have?

Bath time.

Gotta give him a name.

Instead of clothes, she chose this little health care set.  I truly believe she'll do something in the health care field.  She still insists she's going to be a veterinarian.

Dessert at The Cheesecake Factory.  Yummy.  She had an ice cream sundae.

I had peanut butter cup cheesecake.
