Miscellaneous

A few random shots from December.  I took so many pictures, it's a job getting through them all.

I love this face.

Kyla's Snow-Woman for school.

Astreaa's Housewarming Party.

Our car ride to Coalinga for Christmas.

He's just a big baby.

Astreaa reading the kids a bedtime story.

Mason's submission to the Lego Magazine.

A few shots from the Christmas Craft Fair.  My friend Tashina and I rented a booth.

My best friend.

Avary and Griffen

Kyla's good friends, Avary and Griffen are moving away so we met them for one more play date at the park before they left.

Huggies for Avary.  They hug each other often.

A cute one of the 3 of them.

Nolan and Sydney met us at the park also.

The last few pictures are of the kids hugging and saying good-bye.  Pulled at my heart-strings.

Pictures from Kyla's Classroom

Kyla's teacher recently discovered my blog and sent me a few pictures from throughout the school year.  She said she loved it and spent an hour and a half on a Friday evening looking at it.  I'm flattered.  Anyways, here they are.

 Pumpkin patch comes to Westlake.

Absolutely LOVE this photo.  What a great shot.

Polar express pajama party at school.  Complete with Starbucks Hot Chocolate.

The Christmas book exchange.

100th Day festivities.

I came into the classroom for Career Day and talked about being a nurse.  It was fun talking to them.  They are such a smart group of kids.

I'm not sure what that is but I'm thinking it's shaving cream.

Aren't these great.  Thank you Ms. Adams!

The McMullin's Visit

At last, Dyan, Monte and the kids came to Sacramento for a visit.  I haven't seen them in about a year ... you know your friendship will be true and long-lasting when they arrive and it instantly becomes like old times.  The first night, Brian worked so we hung out at home.  The kids played and played (we didn't see them for 6 hours) and adults enjoyed some brews and caught up.  They will be moving to Nebraska in about 6 months so it may be awhile before we see them again.  I really wish I'd gone to San Diego more often while they were living there.  Life just gets busy, you know?  Too busy.  We're pretty good about still talking on the phone often, though.  Dyan is like a sister to me.  We're very alike too ... our friendship is just easy.

Margarita time at Chevy's on the river.  Yumm.

Girls enjoyed a cup of hot cocoa in the morning.

They had so much fun playing video games next to each other.  I just don't get that.

We went to the State Capitol - they never got around to going when they lived in Sacramento.  It was a nice day so we fed (and chased) squirrels.  Have to wear these kids out somehow.  Aren't those some good-looking boys?

They looked and looked at all of the ornaments on the Christmas Tree.

Posing for pictures.

Kyla insisted that Dyan take a photo of her in front of this snowman.  He was in the Capitol.

Boys ... being boys.

I wish Macy was in this one.  Cute though.

Awe, my precious girl.

The Gang - I love this picture.

Our girls.

Dyan and I.  Miss you already!
